Marbles

The marble stone is composed of a maximum rate of calcite. Is a product of recrystallization of limestone. The world "marble" derives from the Greek word "μάρμαρον" (marmaron) from "μάρμαρος" "crystalline rock", "shinning rock". Pure white marbleis the result of a very pure (salcicate-poor) lime stone. The characteristic swirls and veins of many colored marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities such as clay. Because of its composition it can be smoothed and polished giving a perfect beauty in the area.
